About Elisabeth
I have over 13 years of experience teaching Spanish at all levels, including working with students with special educational needs and neurodiversity. I enjoy helping students prepare for exams and my students consistently achieve outstanding results (including 2023 best IGCSE grade in the USA & 100% 8/9 at GCSE 2024 & 25).
I am also passionate about teaching adults and have helped many adults to prepare for visits to Spanish-speaking countries, particularly in Latin America. Having lived there for so long I am regularly told by Spanish-speakers that I speak like a native!
However, I have the additional advantage of having studied Spanish myself, along with French, at London University. I am therefore able to break it down and teach it clearly, as well as to understand and resolve any difficulties my students may face.

Spanish
Spanish is one of the easiest and most useful languages you can learn! I believe that learning a language should be enjoyable and rewarding. My lessons are fun and interactive, as well as being tailored to each individual's needs and abilities.
I have created a comprehensive course covering the four key skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking, as well as all areas of the relevant curriculum (set themes, grammar and vocab).
With students preparing for exams I also put a strong emphasis on familiarisation with the exam papers and the techniques that will help them to achieve the best results possible. Many of my GCSE students carry on to A level or an equivalent qualification.
With students preparing to travel to Spanish-speaking countries I focus on practical, everyday Spanish, with a particular emphasis on conversation.
My students often comment on their rapid improvement, which goes alongside increased confidence in the language. Over the course of our lessons they gain a good working knowledge of the Spanish language which they are able to build on to whatever level they choose.
