About Brad
With over 7 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Historical Performance, I specialize in Baroque Violin for young learners. I focus on playful, age-appropriate strategies to strengthen ear training and aural skills. Lessons include storytelling, rhythm games, movement, and simple melodies to engage children fully. Suzuki and Kodály-inspired methods guide my teaching for natural musical growth. Each session combines creative play, structured exercises, and joyful exploration. Children practice listening, matching pitches, and recognizing musical patterns. Movement and games support coordination and rhythm development. Lessons are paced to each child’s individual needs. I encourage curiosity, confidence, and expressive musicality. Students develop technique while enjoying imaginative musical activities. Every session inspires a love of music and attentive listening. Lessons balance fun, skill-building, and creativity. My mission is to make violin learning playful, engaging, and ear-focused.

This teaching approach helps violinists unlock their improvisational skills in jazz, folk, and world music styles. Students practice creating melodies over chord changes and developing a personal voice. I emphasize creative freedom, spontaneity, and musical intuition. Worship singers and musical theatre enthusiasts are guided in exploring their ideas freely. Lessons include ear training, rhythm exercises, and melodic exploration. Students gain confidence responding to harmonic structures and chord progressions. Each session balances technical skill with playful, imaginative practice. I help learners transform ideas into expressive and authentic performances. Lessons encourage curiosity, originality, and stylistic versatility. Students develop the tools to improvise confidently in solo and group settings. I focus on authenticity, expression, and musical storytelling. Together, we explore and refine your unique improvisational style.
