About Shreya
I am a passionate and dedicated Indian classical vocalist with over 12 years of training in Hindustani/Carnatic music. My journey in music has helped me develop a deep understanding of ragas, rhythm, and classical compositions, along with the ability to express emotions through singing.
Along with performing, I have more than 5 years of experience teaching vocal music to students of different age groups. I believe in creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students can grow with confidence and develop their own musical identity.
For me, music is not just a skill but a lifelong practice of discipline, creativity, and expression. I aim to share this knowledge with my students by combining strong fundamentals with engaging and personalized teaching methods.

I believe music is both a discipline and a form of self-expression. My teaching approach focuses on building a strong classical foundation while also nurturing each student’s unique voice and creativity. I aim to make learning structured, enjoyable, and deeply connected to the emotional essence of music.
Teaching Techniques & Methods
• Foundation First: I begin with basic swaras, voice culture, and breathing techniques to build vocal strength and clarity.
• Step-by-Step Raga Training: Students gradually learn raga structure, aroha–avaroha, and simple bandish.
• Practice-Oriented Learning: Regular riyaaz guidance with repetition and correction.
• Interactive Learning: I encourage students to ask questions, explore, and understand the “feel” of music, not just memorize.
• Use of Instruments: Training with tanpura, basic tabla taal understanding, and harmonium support.
