About Erica
I am a professionally trained musician and educator with over a decade of experience in music education, leadership, and private instruction. I hold a Master of Music degree, which reflects advanced training in musicianship, pedagogy, and performance, as well as a deep understanding of how people learn music.
My teaching experience spans public and private educational settings, churches, and private studios. I have served as a Music Director, classroom educator, and private tutor, working with students from early childhood through adulthood. This breadth of experience allows me to adapt instruction to a wide range of developmental stages, learning styles, and musical goals.

Music lessons should be more than learning notes on a page—they should be a place where skill, confidence, and joy grow together.
I am a professional musician, educator, and music director with over a decade of experience teaching students of all ages, from young beginners to adult learners. I’ve taught in schools, churches, and private studios, and I bring that breadth of experience into every lesson I teach.
My approach is both structured and personal. I believe strong musical foundations matter—technique, musicianship, rhythm, and literacy, but I also believe students learn best when they feel seen, encouraged, and supported. I adapt lessons to each student’s learning style, goals, and pace, whether that means building confidence, preparing for performance, supporting school music programs, or simply rediscovering the joy of music-making.
As a teacher, I am patient, attentive, and deeply invested in my students’ growth. I care about healthy vocal and instrumental technique, expressive musicianship, and helping students understand why music works the way it does, not just how to play it. I also value creativity, curiosity, and cultivating a lifelong relationship with music.
Students and families often appreciate that I bring both professional excellence and genuine care into the lesson space. I take my role seriously, but I never forget that music is meant to be meaningful, life-giving, and human.
If you’re looking for lessons that combine skill-building, encouragement, and thoughtful instruction, whether for yourself or your child, I would love to work with you.
