I’m a guitar tutor with 7 years of experience and a Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) in Guitar Performance. I specialize in helping students prepare for high-level auditions, including touring bands, studio recording sessions, and advanced composition programs. My goal is to bring out your unique musical voice while preparing you for the real demands of the professional world. I offer focused training in technique, tone, timing, and musical interpretation. Whether it’s for a live stage or a recording booth, I help you walk in prepared and confident. I tailor each lesson to meet your goals, addressing both the artistic and practical sides of performance. We work through complex repertoire, refine improvisational skills, and build your creative instincts. I also guide students in crafting original pieces, arranging, and presenting their work with impact. I know what audition panels, producers, and bandleaders look for—and I help you stand out. My teaching style is direct, supportive, and always honest. I’m passionate about helping serious musicians break through their limits and step into bigger opportunities. My guitar teaching approach is clear, hands-on, and focused on making music theory useful in real playing. I help students apply theory directly to the fretboard, so concepts become tools, not just ideas. We cover scales, modes, and chord construction, always tying them back to the music you want to play or create.
Lessons include harmonic analysis, showing how songs are built and how you can build your own. Whether you're learning solos, writing your first piece, or exploring classical works, I break things down in a way that makes sense. I believe theory should feel exciting, not overwhelming.
I work especially well with students who want both structure and creativity in their playing. I offer patient, step-by-step guidance to help you connect patterns, sounds, and musical choices. We explore the fretboard together, building fluency in improvisation and composition.
