About Luke
With 11 years of experience as a flute tutor, I am passionate about helping students from school to college level learn music in a meaningful and enjoyable way. My journey with the flute has been filled with learning and growth, and I am dedicated to sharing that knowledge with my students. I have worked with a wide range of learners, helping them build their skills step by step and develop confidence in their abilities.
A key milestone in my career has been seeing my students improve their performance and successfully take part in events and competitions. My teaching approach is clear, patient, and student-focused, emphasising strong fundamentals such as breathing control, tone production, finger technique, and rhythm.
I also make sure that lessons are engaging and interactive, so students remain interested and motivated. I believe that music education is not just about learning an instrument but also about developing discipline, creativity, and confidence. My aim is to inspire students to enjoy learning and build a lasting connection with music.

My approach to teaching flute is based on Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity to provide a balanced and effective learning experience. I believe every student learns differently, so I adjust my teaching methods to suit their pace and comfort.
I motivate students by encouraging regular practice and appreciating their progress, which helps them stay confident. Communication is very important in my classes. I explain techniques like breath control, finger placement, posture, and sound quality in a simple and clear manner. With integrity, I ensure that students learn the basics properly before moving to advanced concepts.
I guide them patiently and provide honest feedback. Creativity helps me design engaging lessons with songs, exercises, and fun activities that keep students interested. In addition to flute, I also teach music basics such as rhythm, scales, and listening skills to improve overall understanding.
