When teaching french I like to make the students reflect on a question about something they have just learned. Then, they pair up with another student to discuss their thoughts, and finally each shares their response with the whole class. It is also worthy noting that French and English subtitles can be a great way to teach with French TV and films, especially if these subtitles can be turned into interactive flashcards for the students I find this helped me a lot with building up my french vocabulary
