About Marina Dora
I am a native Italian and English speaker, a writer and teacher of creative writing. My studies have brought me to Venice, Melbourne, Oxford, London and Edinburgh, and I have five years of experience in translation, copywriting and teaching. My areas of expertise are Linguistic and Poetry in Italian and English, and I am able to give lessons to anyone from beginners to advanced learners of either language. I've also given lessons on particular areas of literature, like focused sessions on Dante's Commedia, Petrarch's poetry or Medieval English poetry.

My teaching method is mostly based on conversation. I want my students to be familiar with Italian and English literature, be able to read articles, poems and even song lyrics. Reading and discussing these works, we will come across the grammar and idiomatic expressions that is necessary to learn. In this way, the students learn the language organically, and learn to speak fluidly and write fluently in a more interesting and dynamic way.
