About Matt
I have taught conversational and written Spanish and English to thousands of students for over twenty years in both private (Jesuit) and public schools. I have also tutored these subjects to students (online, home tutoring, and tutoring at schools). My students exceed their goals. These have included passing courses that they have failed, dramatically improving their standardized test scores, and achieving high levels of fluency in listening, speaking, reading, and written expression.

From there I help them build the skills and enduring understandings to progress through each zone of proximal development. I begin each lesson with a conversation that helps my students to recall what they learned in the previous lessons and to apply it to the lesson of the day.
