About Bryony
After completing my GCSE’s at Westcliff Girls, I have gone on to study my A-levels here also. At A level I study English Literature, History and Drama, specialising in these subjects. I am offering tuition to students doing their 11 plus, as I have obtained an A / A* in Maths and English at GCSE level as well as having knowledge of verbal and non verbal reasoning after previously completing this exam myself, so can offer support on all components of the 11 plus exam. I have mentored year 11 students at my school to help prepare them for their history GCSE exams this year, so have recent experience in tutoring.

The lesson can be a 1 - 2 hour one on one session with the student, but this is very flexible to your requirements. We will work through questions together, going over different question types that could come up and how to approach them. I will give them practice papers to complete and mark them, before going through their answers to improve their understanding. The English side of the paper will be covered slightly differently, we will go over skills and useful writing techniques to include in the written part of the exam and looks at examples of question titles for the written piece. I will also ask the student to complete some practice paragraphs for this written exam and we will go through and look at the strengths and areas to improve in their work. Lessons will be relaxed and all feedback will be positive strengths in the child’s work, and constructive criticism to build the child’s confidence in their ability.
