About Arda
Hi! My name is Arda Kaya and I am currently a Year 13 student hoping to study at Oxford University next year. I study Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Chemistry at A-level, as well as completing an extended dissertation project (EPQ). I believe being a student myself and having recently completed my GCSEs is a great advantage when it comes to helping other students. Some experts with years of experience may not relate easily to the struggles young people face in mathematics. I have a passion for helping students improve and love to see them succeed. It is wonderful seeing the moment where a concept finally "clicks" in a pupil's mind! Qualifications: -GCSE: Maths (9), English Literature (9), English Language (9), Biology (9), Chemistry (9), Physics (9), Computer Science (9), Spanish (9), Geography (9), Fine Art (9) -Level 2 Certificate Award: Further Maths -A Level: A*A*A*A* (predicted) -EPQ: A* (predicted) Experience: I have prior tutoring experience with a few GCSE and secondary school students. More informally, I regularly help my peers with their homework and classwork.

I found that in secondary school, teaching methods were reliant on memorisation rather than problem solving. I aim to help students learn maths in a more engaging way in which they can gain a better mathematical intuition. This can be done by teaching and revising certain topic areas where needed and, most importantly, applying this knowledge by practising lots of questions. Lessons can be flexible to students, whether that is helping with homework and/or teaching and revising content. I studied the Pearson Edexcel exam board at GCSE and I am studying the OCR MEI exam board at A-level, though I am of course willing to teach students studying other exam boards.

Arda has helped me thoroughly thought my last year of my GCSE year. I have always struggled with maths but it never stopped me wanting to get high marks. I was unsure about having a tutor at first but when I met arda, he made maths significantly easier to understand. He is great at breaking things down and helping you understand whilst at the same time making you work out the equations yourself. He has amazing patience and works extremely hard to make our tutorials worthwhile. 10/10 would recommend to all students!!
