About Shriya
I am an A-Level student who is studying biology, chemistry and maths. I achieved grades 9-7 across 9 GCSE subjects and in particular, grades 9-8 across STEM subjects including English. I have worked with students in Key Stage 3, offering support in maths lessons, gaining an insight of various teaching methods which allows me to curate a specific approach according to your needs. Alongside my studies I also play the flute and piano at Grade 6.

I teach by building concepts from the ground up rather than relying on memorisation, using worked examples and plenty of practice problems. I adjust my pace and explanations based on how a student is responding, slowing down on tricky spots, moving faster through material they've already mastered to optimise the usage of lesson time which can range from 30-60 mins depending on what you find most suitable. I currently volunteer for maths lessons, and so have developed a suitable understanding of the needs of different individuals. I am able to teach students from primary school to year 11.
