About Alex
I am a current year 13 student and have just finished my first year of A-levels. I passed Chemistry with a grade 9 which is equivalent to an A** and my current predicted grade chemistry is A* so I have a great understanding of the subject which will help me to explain them in detail or even simplify. As someone who also once struggled with Chemistry I know how to overcome the challenging topics and will be able to help students do the same. I like to enjoy my lessons so they won’t be 100% serious as long as the students understand the content as I believe that if a student has a positive relationship with their teacher they will perform better in that class. I personally studied the IGCSE Edexcel exam board so the content in this exam board is what I am most comfortable with but I will definitely be able to teach other exam boards!

These subjects started out challenging for me as a student, but I eventually grasped them. I want to teach students who struggle with chemistry through the same approaches I used in my exams. I've had firsthand experience with making complex topics understandable and easier to recall among students at my school. I always found that in school, I always performed better in the classrooms that had a teacher that I got along well with, so maybe the same will happen in the sessions with me. As I am a similar age to GCSE students, it allows for better interaction between us and my resources will be very useful as they are what helped me achieve my grades and I hope that I can pass these on over series of sessions of your desired length.
