About Tanya
Hi! I’m Tanya, a dance teacher and wedding dance choreographer with 13 years of ballroom dance experience and 3 years of creating wedding first dances.
I teach a variety of styles, including waltz, tango, bachata, foxtrot, rock’n’roll and mixed styles — and I love creating something personal rather than simply following a set routine.
My lessons are relaxed, easy-going and always with a bit of humour. I want you to enjoy the process, not feel like you’re taking an exam!
I never force you to do movements you don’t like. We’ll find steps that feel natural, comfortable and suit your personality and level — even if you’ve never danced before.
I believe a good dance isn’t about complicated moves. It’s about feeling comfortable with your partner, enjoying the music and looking like you’re having a great time together.

Never danced before? Perfect — you don’t need to be a dancer to enjoy my lessons!
I offer personalised ballroom dance lessons and wedding first dance choreography, backed by 13 years of ballroom dance experience. I’ll guide you step by step and help you feel comfortable, confident and natural on the dance floor.
For wedding couples, there is no one-size-fits-all routine. Your choreography is created around your song, preferences, ability and style — from a romantic waltz or elegant tango to a fun salsa or a mix of styles.
For private ballroom lessons, we can focus on technique, leading and following, musicality, confidence — or simply enjoy learning to dance together.
Lessons take place in professional studios across London with mirrors and everything we need. I also have a personal list of less common wedding songs based on my experience and can help you find music that suits your taste and dance style.
