Tightened shoulders and restricted bows often create a thin, brittle sound during complex passages. I emphasize proper posture and hold to ensure the body supports the instrument throughout long practice sessions.
Left hand agility becomes accessible once tension leaves the frame of your playing. Scales and arpeggios serve as the foundation for rhythm and timing stability in every piece.
Mastering spiccato and staccato bowing requires distinct control of the bow hair against the string. Shifting positions should feel seamless rather than jarring to the ear.
Developing a rich, consistent vibrato brings life to the melody. You will receive free bowing and posture reference notes after each lesson to guide your home practice. Helping students find their unique voice remains the most rewarding part of my work.
