About Yu
Do you find yourself struggling to master the nuances of intonation or the mechanics of a clean bow stroke? Drawing on my 5 years of experience, I assist students ranging from those picking up the instrument for the first time to 111 individuals preparing for advanced exams.
My Bachelor of Music from the Australian National Academy of Music informs a style that is supportive and patient while we tackle complex techniques like double stops and tuning by ear. I adjust my pace to ensure that technical requirements like spiccato and staccato bowing feel attainable rather than overwhelming. Watching a student finally nail a vibrato after weeks of practice remains the highlight of my week.
