About Shayna
Hi, I’m Shayna! I’ve been playing violin and viola for over 20 years and teaching for more than a decade. Music has shaped my life, and I love helping students discover their own confidence and voice through it. I perform in two professional symphony orchestras and at many weddings and events, and I bring that real-world experience into every lesson. I’m patient, encouraging, and focused on building strong fundamentals in a supportive environment. My goal is for students to feel proud of their progress and excited to keep growing.

My teaching style is supportive, structured, and personalized to each student. I focus on building strong fundamentals while keeping lessons encouraging and fun. A typical lesson includes technique work, repertoire, and exercises that build confidence and musicality.
I create a calm environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and growing at the pace that meets their goals. I’ve taught beginners through advanced students, including those preparing for auditions, as well as students learning just for fun.
