About Varisha
I became a teacher because I believe in the power of education to change lives. Experienced and passionate Primary Tutor with 6 years of classroom teaching experience, specialising in early literacy and numeracy development. A Phonics and Reading specialist, I have a strong track record in delivering systematic phonics teaching and targeted reading support. As an English Lead for the past 4 years, I have successfully led whole-school literacy strategies and supported staff development. I also have experience supporting the teaching of Maths across the primary phase, using practical and engaging approaches to build strong number sense and problem-solving skills.
