About Richard
I'm an experienced professional musician of 30 years and have taught guitar since 1999. I play bass in the Beatles Tribute band The Fab 4, so McCartney style, melodic 60's bass playing is a speciality. I play 6 string guitars regularly as I also work as a guitar/vocalist covers artist, covering many genres. I'm also known for playing jangly 12 string guitar in power pop band Richard Snow & The In-laws and have also done session work for other artists on the 12 string.

In my lessons I teach essential techniques, scales and chords but place them in the context of Pop and Rock songs, so you'll have something fun to play as you learn and goals to work towards. I find this to be a more rewarding experience than grade based learning which I don't teach. I am however proficient in music theory so happy to pass on this knowledge too but prefer to teach songs through listening and chord charts.
My lessons are an hour in length on weekdays, daytime. I prefer to teach adults as they are self motivated, but also have experience teaching under 18s.
