About Jamel
"Mastering electric technique is often less about speed and more about knowing exactly where to put your fingers to get the right weight. I spent 13 years writing and recording music, which taught me that theory is just a tool for expressing what you already hear.
Holding an MA Songwriting from Bath Spa University means I view the guitar as a machine for composition as much as performance. I focus on scales, modes, and power chords to give you the building blocks for your own riffs.
Maintenance and tuning are the boring bits I help you master so you spend more time playing. It is satisfying to see students finally connect their ear training to their actual fretboard movement. We are going to reach those goals you set for your playing style."

"I struggle to understand why everyone makes barre chords look like a physical chore. To be honest, I spent my first 2 years playing with poor posture and bad habits. My 13 years of experience helps me spot your mistakes before they become permanent muscle memory. We start with a diagnostic check to see exactly where your technique sits.
Then I fix your chord transitions and acoustic technique with simple adjustments. I teach you how to use lead guitar skills to decorate your songs. Tuning, maintenance, and ear training are all part of the mix. I am the guide to setting up your home-studio guitar workflow."
