About Matt
Royal Academy of Music BMus graduate here with 8 years of experience behind me. I spend my days writing, recording, and teaching songwriting to intermediate producers, singer-songwriters, and aspiring artists. Lyric writing and writing to a brief are core elements of my practice.
Developing chord progressions or finding your unique voice is where the real magic happens. Imagery and detail in lyrics define my approach to the craft.
Motif and theme development keeps me busy when I am not at the keys. I have helped many students refine their sound over the years.

Crafting a song should feel like a natural extension of your own musical taste. You walk into the room with a raw idea and we refine it until it feels finished.
My BMus from the Royal Academy of Music informs the theory, but the creative flow leads the way. Songwriting happens when you prioritise the music you actually want to make.
