About Charmeia
Graduating with a BM Music Performance in Fiddle from Belmont University shaped my musical foundation. I spent 11 years refining how sound translates from the ear to the fingerboard. My teaching relies heavily on oral tradition where melodies are absorbed by listening.
Ornamentation happens through imitation rather than just reading dots on a page. I currently support performance-focused students and returning learners. Balancing classical rigor with a looser folk approach defines my style.
Having taught many pupils over 11 years, I understand the common hurdles players face. You will find clarity in your path toward mastering your instrument.

How does it feel to play music without staring at a page? Beginning with ear training helps you internalize the nuances of bowing technique and tone production.
