About Isabella
Does your current practice routine leave you feeling stuck or unsure about how to bridge the gap between hobbyist and pro? We spend time focusing on the technical demands of your instrument while maintaining a relaxed atmosphere.
My MMus Vocal Studies degree provides a unique pedagogical lens through which we analyse rhythm and movement on the fretboard. You will receive a monthly recorded review of progress to track your development over time.
These sessions cater to a wide range of students including grade exam candidates and those looking for a structured path forward. We examine everything from basic acoustic technique to the nuances of lead guitar and improvisation.
I find that when we slow down to look at the theory behind the tabs, everything clicks into place much faster. Every student benefits from this high level of attention to detail and consistent feedback. You can expect a deep dive into the mechanics that make your favourite songs sound so distinct. I am ready to jump into the technical side of your playing whenever you are.

The vibration of a resonant acoustic guitar string has been the soundtrack of my life for 13 years. I have spent this time honing skills in electric technique, fingerpicking, and complex blues progressions while guiding 320 students towards their own musical milestones. My formal training at the Royal Academy of Music provides the backbone for my deep knowledge of scales, modes, and improvisation.
Whether helping a hobbyist refine their lead guitar solo or teaching a child the fundamentals of rhythm, I prioritise clarity and precision. I enjoy breaking down the mechanics of songwriting so that it feels accessible rather than overwhelming.
You might notice my style is quite playful, as I find that music is meant to be explored with a sense of wonder. I have taught hundreds of students who needed structure to move past their self-taught plateaus. It is a joy to help advanced learners refine their craft through reading tabs or mastering intricate soloing techniques. I promise to keep our sessions grounded in practical steps that make sense for your current ability level.
