About Everett
Acoustic technique and songwriting form the core of my work, though electric technique is where I truly feel at home. Tuning and maintenance are habits I teach early, as I spent 12 years gigging in 7 bands and releasing 6 records to understand how gear fails. Reading tabs and strumming patterns feel intuitive when we treat them as visual maps rather than just abstract symbols.
My BA in Modern Music from the Los Angeles College of Music informs how I break down grade exam prep into manageable chunks. Being neurodivergent myself, I use kinesthetic and ear-focused methods that work with your brain instead of fighting it. I integrate a practice module with every lesson to keep momentum high, ensuring you never feel lost when the session ends. My 12 years of performing across North America taught me that real tone problems need real solutions that exist in the physical world.
I do not rely on dry theory because I prefer showing you shortcuts used on stage. You will find that these sessions value your specific way of processing information over rigid, outdated rules. We will build your confidence by focusing on the music you actually care about playing.
