About Jessica
"Music connects the sacred and secular worlds for you, which is why I teach. You want to play guitar like the songs you hear on the radio.
My BFA in Music Industry from Belmont University grounds my approach in the realities of how songs are actually built. Over 7 years of teaching, I have refined how I explain complex concepts like rhythm guitar and ear training. I have taught countless students how to navigate the fretboard with ease.
Reading tabs and learning strumming patterns should feel natural rather than like a chore. You deserve a teacher who keeps things loose while maintaining a strict structural foundation. "Fingers often feel like lead weights when you first try to form those tough barre chords. You will hear the clear ring of a proper chord instead of the dull thud of muted strings.
We prioritize your favorite songs to make sure the practice sticks. By combining guitar and voice, we simulate how you will actually perform in the real world. Improvisation becomes a fun game rather than a daunting theory test. I am here to help you find your groove in the blues and gospel traditions."
