About Elise
I am constantly training and teaching throughout the year attending intensive workshops, conventions, and competitions. My current employers include MelRoe's School of Dance, Academy of the Arts, and Encore at the J teaching introductory to advanced classes such as: Hip Hop (my speciality), Tap, Strength Stretch and Flexibility, and a combination class Jazz Pom and Hip Hop.
I have many years of experience competing with and coaching school dance teams and would be happy to help any students interested in preparing for an upcoming dance team audition.
I also want to highlight the importance of having a social media presence as a dancer since Instagram in particular now acts as the creative's resume and am willing to help any student improve their online image to get job opportunities.

I find correct stretching technique highly important, as well as body control and grooves training as imperative to building a strong dance foundation. I teach a variety of dance vocabulary with emphasis on musicality and full range of motion. I encourage creativity among my students when exploring movement styles and expression.
