About Bethan
I’m Bethan — a specialist teacher with 22 years of experience supporting children and young people aged 3–19 with autism and additional learning needs.
I’ve worked across SEN schools, specialist resource bases, and pupil referral units. These are the settings that many find the most challenging — but for me, they’ve always been where the most meaningful work happens. There’s something extraordinary about watching a child who has been written off somewhere else finally feel seen, supported, and capable.
That belief is at the heart of everything I do at Empower Sensory Services. Every child deserves a chance to thrive — and I’m here to help make that happen.

Hi, I’m Bethan — and if you’ve ever felt like the education system just wasn’t built with your child in mind, you’re in the right place.
I bring 22 years of specialist teaching experience working with children and young people aged 3–19 across SEN schools, specialist resource bases, and pupil referral units. Over two decades, I’ve had the privilege of supporting hundreds of children who simply needed someone to meet them where they are.
At Empower Sensory Services, I offer specialist tutoring tailored to children and young people with autism and additional learning needs. My approach isn’t one-size-fits-all — it’s built around your child: their strengths, their sensory needs, and the way they learn best. I take time to truly understand each child before anything else, because the right foundation makes all the difference.
Whether your child is struggling to access the curriculum, needs support rebuilding their confidence, or simply thrives with a different kind of teaching, I’d love to help.
