About Joey
Performing in bars and concert halls for 13 years has shaped my musical life. As a self-taught musician, I learned through constant practice, performance, and experience on the folk circuits of Toronto and Montreal.
My musical education was built through more than a decade of live performance across Canada. Playing night after night taught me how to listen, adapt, connect with an audience, and turn practice into a practical understanding of the music.
Today, I bring those lessons into my teaching, helping 311 students find their own voice as musicians. My goal is to share the skills and perspective I developed on the road while helping each student build confidence and make music that feels genuinely their own.

Singing often feels vulnerable at first until you learn how to handle the microphone. I prioritize vocal range extension and genre styling to help you find your unique sound. We work on head and chest voice, tone, and resonance while managing stage fear through practice. Exam preparation keeps us focused and organized during our sessions together.
I bring 8.0 years of focused instruction to your vocal journey. Musical theatre or pop styles become much easier when your technique is solid. Watching you gain confidence with every song we work on is the highlight of my week.
