About Harold
Fourteen years of refined violin instruction inform my practice. My Artist Diploma from the Royal College of Music anchors the technical rigour I provide to students. I guide learners through complex bowing technique, intonation, and music theory.
Rhythm and timing are foundational elements I reinforce alongside double stops and shifting positions. My approach emphasises left hand agility and scales and arpeggios to ensure stability.
Building confidence remains my primary objective, helping students sight read with ease. I work with diverse levels to ensure they perform without losing the joy of music. My training ensures that progress is steady and clear.

Focus defines the atmosphere. We begin with a diagnostic assessment before setting the practice plan for your development.
I utilise my Royal College of Music background to correct your bowing technique and posture during these sessions. Expect thorough explanations regarding intonation, rhythm, and timing throughout our time together.
We will navigate shifting positions, double stops, and complex scales to solidify your foundation. Sight reading exercises appear regularly to sharpen your musical literacy and independence.
Left hand agility receives dedicated attention during every hour we spend together. You will leave with a clear path forward for your home practice. I find great satisfaction in watching your confidence grow as the music becomes more accessible. My goal is to see you succeed.
