About Elsie
I am currently a Master’s student in Mathematics and Physics at the University of Bath, on track for a strong first class degree.
Even before I got into tutoring, explaining concepts in what I study has always been an opportunity I’ve relished, and has long been an important part of my own study process.
Since then, seeing the moment an explanation has clicked with a student is one of the most rewarding feelings. As such, the performance of my tutees is one of my top priorities, whether it’s coaching for a specific exam or helping digest strange ideas.

Everyone has the ability to excel at maths and physics. So often, the education system lets us down with bad teachers or limited resources, and it doesn’t take much for these subjects to feel overwhelming
I have been a maths and physics tutor for over 2 years. My experience means I know there is no one-size-fits-all approach, not only will your exam spec require certain things of students, but we all have different pictures in our minds when we solve problems. My job is to help students use their strengths to fill the gaps in their knowledge.
Our sessions will be personally-tailored, and whatever your goals are, we’ll make a roadmap to get you there.

Elsie is an incredibly patient and non-judgemental person, and will take her time explaining anything you are struggling with. She’s helped me out with some statistics course works I was struggling with at University and made sure to illustrate everything using simple terms, as stats is something that I am not great at!
