About Lydia
Honestly, the voice is just another muscle that needs the right kind of attention to function well. I use my BA English and BM Guitar from Humber to translate musical concepts into simple language for teens and performance-focused students. My 13 years of experience allow me to read a room and adapt to the needs of returning learners quickly. I find that when we remove the stress of performing, the actual sound begins to bloom.
Being a community-center style teacher means I focus on the individual rather than a generic curriculum. Your voice is a unique instrument waiting to be understood. I am ready to help you find it.

The first session starts with the sensation of deep breathing filling your lungs and grounding your entire posture before we even touch a melody. We move through warm up exercises that transition into head and chest voice, ensuring you build your range with care and stability. I construct a personalized song list built around your specific range to ensure you feel confident while exploring genre styling or pitch control.
Our time is spent managing stage fear and refining rhythm to give you total performance confidence. Every exercise is designed to improve your tone and resonance so you can sing with freedom. Seeing you connect with a song is the most rewarding part of this work.
