About Annette
I am a German native speaker who arrived in England as a postgraduate student. I studied at Durham University for my MA and have co-written a student book on Global Perspectives. I have also lived many years in China, where I taught English and German.
My hobbies include travelling, photography, reading and gardening. In my free time, I look after my pets and watch films or listen to music. I believe in the motto: Whatever you do, do it to your best ability.

My lessons are individually tailored to your needs and will help you understand exam questions better and as a result improve your grades. I have a postgraduate degree in Religious Studies and have taught RS, German, English and Sociology for over 20 years. I have also international experience in IGCSE and IELTS teaching and can help you if you need English language support in different subjects.
If you have experienced a lack of teaching in your school due to staff absences or supply teachers, you can rest assured that I can help you achieve top grades at GCSE and A-Levels. As a secondary teacher, I hold a teaching qualification (PGCE) and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) which means I know the secondary school curriculum and can help you catch up with any material that you might have missed. I have experience with marking exams for OCR and AQA and also know the Edexcel and WJEC exam boards well.
Lessons are typically 45 min long with an extra 5-10 min for you to ask questions and check your understanding. All ages from primary to secondary and all levels are welcome to apply!
