About Zoe
Are you a working professional or a self-taught player who struggles to find structure in your practice? Perhaps you are a returning learner or a kid looking to pick up the instrument for the first time.
I have spent 13 years gigging as a singer-guitarist across the American South and Southwest. My background includes a BM Popular Music from the University of Southern California. These days, I work with intermediate learners who want to bridge the gap between simple chords and complex improvisation.
Many of my students are open-mic regulars who saw me perform and asked how I built my style. I enjoy breaking down the technical requirements of barre chords and fingerpicking for those who want to play with real precision. Teaching has become a natural extension of my 13 years on stage. I focus on bringing the gospel and blues traditions to every student interaction I have.

Struggling to find the right way to navigate the fretboard can be overwhelming when you are working on improvisation or soloing alone. Often, I hear from players who are lost in the woods of music theory without a map for how to apply those concepts to their own sets. During our time, we will look at tuning and maintenance alongside reading tabs to ensure your gear and your technique are both in top shape. I prioritize a clear path through grade exam prep that makes the music feel like an organic part of your daily routine.
Because I have been performing for over 2 decades, I know exactly which acoustic techniques translate best to a live setting. Whether we are drilling specific fingerpicking patterns or demystifying the circle of fifths, the goal is to give you a solid foundation. You will find that these methods build the confidence required to stand on a stage and play your own arrangements. Everything we do serves your ultimate goal of becoming a more capable and versatile musician.
