About Josh
Hi, I'm Josh. I'm a native English speaker from the United States with a background that might surprise you: I'm currently serving as a federal law enforcement officer with the Department of Homeland Security, and before that I served as a combat veteran in the military. I'm also finishing a degree in Military Studies and Professionalism, so I know firsthand what it takes to sit down, study hard, and push through a tough course load while juggling a full life outside the classroom.
Teaching English online is something I care about deeply. Clear communication has been central to every job I've held, whether that meant briefing a team, writing reports that had to hold up under scrutiny, or working with people from completely different backgrounds under pressure. I bring that same precision to my lessons, but I keep the atmosphere relaxed and encouraging. Making mistakes is part of learning, and my job is to help you feel comfortable making them.
I'm patient, direct when it's useful, and genuinely invested in your progress. Whether you're preparing for work, travel, exams, or just want to speak with more confidence, I'll work around what actually matters to you.
