I have experience teaching EFL to people of all abilities, ages and cultures, adapting the material that I use according to these factors so that it is suitable and appropriate. My teaching style follows CELTA taught methods and techniques which prioritise engaged and immersive learning. I am a dynamic and charismatic individual, who ensures that lessons are fun and diverse for the student.
Hi! My name is Isaac and I have recently gained the Cambridge CELTA, which is the most widely renowned EFL qualification, after completing the month-long course at International House in Barcelona last November. I have experience teaching adults in both group and private classes, but have also worked as a house master at a language school so therefore have lots of experience working with children too. I am currently offering online lessons due to coronavirus, and am looking forward to meeting you!
November 2019 : Cambridge CELTA qualification (International House Barcelona)
During the month-long course we carried out 6 hours of observed teaching practise, to groups of up to twelve adult students of three different levels. We also completed four assignments and nine lesson plans, basing our lessons on the following materials: "Straight Forward (Elementary)", "New English File (Pre-Intermediate)", and "English File (Upper Intermediate)". At 19 years of age, I was the youngest participant on the course.
2017 - 2019: International Baccalaureate Diploma (Varndean College) 37 points.
2014 - 2017: GCSE’s (Ardingly College) 9 A* grades and 2 A grades.
I am currently on a gap year, but have applied to

Summer 2019: House Master (Buckswood Overseas Summer School - BOSS)
As a house master I was responsible for the pastoral duties of up to 45 boys aged 8 - 13 in my house. Additionally I lead and assisted in sporting and creative activities involving the whole school. Finally, I took groups of about 15 students up to the age of 17 on two excursions a week, with one of these being to London. Therefore, I am experienced in working with children of different ages, nationalities and cultures.
September 2019: VrLAB 2019 - Digital Host
I worked as a host at a “virtual reality” event, where members of the public experienced the use of new, innovative and revolutionary technology. This experience showcases my ability to confidently interact well with other people, and educate them about a subject that many knew very little about.
