About David
I want to teach students because I was once a student of piano, at the same stage, and I remember how keen I was to develop my skills, but all I had to learn from was YouTube. This simply doesn't provide the same level of detail as an interactive piano lesson, it also doesn't provide students with any feedback.
I want to help students by offering a much more effective way of learning the piano. I also want to be able to inspire them to find their creativity within and surpass their own expectations!

I don't teach using the typical grade system but if you are interested in learning the fundamentals behind how to learn piano by ear rather than depending on reading notes, then you are in the right place. Piano by ear is where the real creativity stems from!
I enjoy classical music, jazz music, R&B, Hip Hop and Afrobeats. I constantly replicate my favourite songs in these genres and even create my own spin-offs to them. My favourite piece to play is Ex-Factor by Lauryn Hill!
1 year of tutoring experience. My lessons tend to last 1 hour each and are directed to beginner students that are intentional about their learning, ask questions and are fully dedicated to becoming great pianists!
I like to start off by teaching my students the fundamentals behind music theory and build from that point depending on the students' ability to absorb new information quickly.
