About Sumana
Hello! I’m Sumana Banerjee, a passionate vocal music teacher with over 20 years of experience in music. I hold a Sangeet Visharad in Hindustani Classical Music and Rabindra Sangeet. My mission is to help every student discover their unique voice and enjoy the journey of learning music.
I teach Hindustani Classical Music, Rabindra Sangeet, Bollywood, Bhajans, Ghazals, and all genres of Hindi and Bengali music. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced singer, a child or an adult, my classes are designed to build a strong musical foundation while making learning enjoyable, inspiring, and rewarding.
I believe that anyone can sing with the right guidance, dedication, and practice. Through personalized attention and a structured teaching approach, I help students develop confidence, musical expression, and a lifelong love for music.

I believe every student has the potential to sing beautifully with the right guidance. My classes are designed to be interactive, practical, and tailored to each student’s age, learning pace, and musical goals.
Whether you choose online or offline classes, you will receive individual attention, systematic voice training, and a strong foundation in Hindustani Classical Music while learning your favourite songs.
My teaching includes:
* Voice culture, breathing techniques, and pitch training
* Swaras, alankars, ragas, and taal taught in a simple, step-by-step manner
* Hindustani Classical Music, Rabindra Sangeet, Bollywood, Bhajans, Ghazals, and all genres of Hindi and Bengali music
* Song-based learning to develop musical expression, confidence, and performance skills
* Practice recordings with my vocals and keyboard accompaniment (for online students and whenever required)
* Regular feedback and personalized guidance to ensure steady progress
Classes are open to children (5+ years), teenagers, and adults, from complete beginners to advanced learners. My aim is to make learning music enjoyable, inspiring, and rewarding while helping every student build confidence and a lifelong love for music.
