About Jennifer
Hello there!
My name is Jennifer but many call me ‘Jenni.’ I’m originally from Alaska, USA. I love travel, coffee, my dog Molly and helping others learn— especially helping them develop English skills.
I lived and taught in Tokyo, JAPAN for 18 years before moving to London, UK in 2017. In Tokyo, I was Country Manager and Asia Regional Coordinator of the Young Learner Division at one of the oldest global and top language schools in the nation.
Since 1999, I’ve taught thousands of learners of English (age 4 ~ 84) in many different professions (judges, doctors, engineers, teachers, government workers, etc...) and genres (students, expats, travelers, house wives, study abroad/home stay, etc.) I would love to be your teacher (‘sensei’ as we say in Japanese.’)
» Lessons with me are more than language classes. They are immersive cultural experiences. I make language learning enjoyable. Many of my former students in Japan stayed with me five years (or more) because they loved my classes so much.
≫ My teaching specialities are: cross cultural training, business and travel language as well helping students understand UK vs. North American (USA/CAN) English.
I also have experience in: training instructors, curriculum (teaching material) design and development, publishing, proofreading and preparing corporate presentations and documents for large multi-national, and international organizations and much more.
