I want to give lessons primarily up to GCSE standard and with select A level students. I am happy to work with any kind of student, including students teachers see as trouble-makers (I think you mean they're just bored!). I teach using a very flexible approach. I try to fit each student's lessons around their personality- for example, using football analogies to teach to a footballer or animal analogies to an animal lover. I try to also take into account the learning style of my student, whether it is visual, acoustic or kinesthetic. Lessons are very relaxed and casual, we can do work in pyjamas, with a cup of tea, or in a formal environment with structure- whatever makes you most comfortable and helps you to learn. I also try to do hands-on learning- particularly in Biology, where you can see many processes in your own human body, and psychology, where many of the theories apply to everyday life.
Using Superprof would be my first time teaching formally. However, I have volunteered to work at schools such as Springfields school for children with special needs, and the Clever Cubs school, in Namibia, for young San-Bushman children where I have taught English, Maths, sciences and other subjects. I also tutored my friends over A level in biology, psychology and religious studies. During my final two years of school, I ran sessions on Zoology every fortnight, where I taught younger children on topics such as animal cognition, biology, and senescence.
I am very passionate about learning and teaching, with my end career goal being the education of children in environmental matters and basic Zoology. However, I also love Psychology and Religious studies- both of which are subjects I am very passionate about.
