About Melana
Throughout my life I have helped my brother and younger cousins with school. Mostly math because that is my strong suit. I’ve mastered all of my math STARR tests including Algebra 1. I have a tendency to not give up on something until i’ve mastered it and I plan on bringing that same mindset into tutoring. I am my schools mascot so I am very involved with my community. I love helping younger kids see what they are truly capable of!

As a tutor I like a hands on method. I believe this is what worked best for me when I was a kid and what has worked for my family members I’ve tutored. I aim for about 30-45 minutes of work time with a few breaks in between depending on the kid. I love dancing it out or eating a snack so it doesn’t feel like too much of a chore. I usually tutor mathematics to elementary school kids but am open to english if needed.
