Hello, I'm Isaac! I’m a qualified math and science teacher offering chess tutoring for children and adults. My chess lessons are grounded in strong educational practice and tailored to each student’s needs. As a qualified teacher in Mathematics and Science, I use High Impact Teaching Strategies to deliver structured, engaging lessons with clear goals and meaningful feedback. Students learn not just what moves to play, but how to think strategically, solve problems, and build confidence through chess.
Each lesson begins with explicit teaching, where key concepts and ideas are clearly explained. This is followed by worked examples, allowing students to see strategies and decision-making applied in real game situations. Students then have opportunities to practise, ask questions, and receive targeted feedback to reinforce understanding.
My lessons are appropriate for up to 2000 FIDE and for any age group.
