About Hannah
Young kids and adults often step into the room clutching their songbooks like a shield. I remember the weight of those nerves when I first arrived in Australia 20 years ago. My background as a Latin singer in San Juan shaped how I view the vulnerability of performance. Having taught 192 students, I see the same patterns of tension in every singer who struggles to find their center. I share the lessons I gathered from my own 15 years of gigging Latin music. My degree as a guitarist means I hear the harmony and the voice as one connected instrument. I watch these students find their footing as they learn to breathe and stand tall. It starts to feel like a conversation.
