My teaching is based on each student's individual needs. Each lesson will be specific to the work that the student wishes to address, be it a personal statement, structuring an academic essay or responding to a piece of literature. I work towards improving confidence and developing knowledge on a student's best way of working. I will generate engagement through practice questions, interactivity, repetition and reflection.
BA Photography graduate holding a 1st Class Honours Degree with 4 years of experience as a student mentor in academic writing and the arts. Offering English Literature, Language and writing classes. I have a lot of knowledge related to the arts and cultural theory so I would be happy to take all students needing any guidance in these areas. I am happy to work with any student up to BA degree level.
I am a recent graduate holding a first class degree in BA (Hons) Photography from Kingston School of Art. I am now seeking a part time role as an Online Tutor. The next year is about creating financial stability for myself to study an MA programme in 2021 and a part time position will allow me to work on my small business in my free time. I’m highly organised with exceptional communication skills and thoroughly enjoy teaching, leading and presenting. As an outgoing person with a bubbly personality and positive attitude I find it easy to generate engagement through conversation and instruction.

Communication and problem solving:
I have proven these skills through my mentoring roles and organisation of art shows / events throughout my time studying.
Teamwork and approachability:
As a student mentor I had to be approachable to younger students and to liaise with professional members of staff regarding student concerns.
Through the variation of work I have undertaken, and the management of a team of up to 18 staff per shift at a restaurant-cum-cinema venue throughout the final year of my studies.
Outside of working I have many interests…perhaps too many but they certainly keep me entertained. I am never bored unless I choose to be. Working as a photographic artist with an interest in cultural and contemporary art research I spend a lot of time reading and writing. In order to record this, I maintain a blog and website where I post my artistic work.
Alongside my artistic practice I run a small business selling handmade crafts such as jewellery and silversmithing jewellery.
When the weather is good I like to get out on a hike to a rural place, spending time alone in the natural world is very important to me. It aids my creativity and helps me to stay grounded.
