Methodology

Each of the lessons I teach will be specifically personalized to the person I'm teaching (you). Do you have a specific skill or technique you want to find out more about? Let me know and I'll work a lesson around it. Do you have a favourite film or scene? Great! I can use that in my examples to help you understand. One of the most important things in learning how to make films is the passion to do so, and so I want to make sure that each one of my lessons fuels that burning desire and interest.

The content of my lessons is based off what I learned myself whilst studying in my degree and the works of some of the leading minds in the field, such as Blake Snyder (Save the Cat). It is also based off what I have learnt myself through practical experiences on different film sets across the country, so you can be sure you'll be getting a varied view of filmmaking.

My lessons are mainly suited to those who are just starting out in the field or those who are keen to explore a new hobby in more detail. I can teach concepts and techniques that will help those who are studying filmmaking at a degree level, but this is not the level of focus with which I'll be approaching my lessons.
