About Iris
I am 19 and a 1st year medical student at the University of Liverpool. I want to teach students because I want to help them achieve the best grade they can and I know how difficult it can be to do this at school where teaching and learning is not personalised. I like to establish how my student learns best and then tailor what I do to help them advance their understanding of the topic. This can lead to quicker learning and less time spent trying to get your head round a complicated concept. I have recently done A levels, and did my GCSEs in 2022 so I have up-to-date knowledge of exam methodology and syllabuses.

I am happy to tutor GCSE or A level students in biology, chemistry and geography. I am open to teaching specific/difficult topics or going through the syllabus for more general tutoring. I like to explain how something works at a level that is easy to understand and then build up confidence from there. This might be through worked examples, online resources, drawing diagrams or simply going over notes. I like to answer questions (no matter how many!) and I am good at simplifying difficult concepts in a way that works for each individual. I have tutored 2 students previously in bio/chem/physics for GCSEs. I have 9s in GCSE biology, chemistry, physics and geography. I have A* in biology and geography A level and A in chemistry A level.
