About Cyndi
Music theory felt like a rigid cage until I found the jagged, exhilarating pulse of Bartók and Prokofiev. That discovery shifted my entire perspective on how the piano functions for the performer. I hold a BMus from the Curtis Institute of Music and have spent 13 years refining my craft across Denver.
My practice covers jazz improvisation, memorization techniques, and sight transposition to keep your mind sharp. I work with advanced students prepping for auditions alongside adults tackling the instrument for the first time. The initial sound of a sustain pedal releasing fills the room as we begin our technical diagnostic. You spend 10 minutes playing through a familiar passage while I identify the micro-tensions holding back your fluidity.
Since I have 13 years of teaching experience, I can immediately spot where your physical habits obstruct your musical goals. We structure these hours around weekly practice modules assigned with every single class to ensure consistent momentum.
