About Oscar
-Having completed year 12 in 2021 at Prince Alfred college in Adelaide, South Australia I have continued to follow my interests in maths, physics and economics at the university level, studying mechanical engineering and finance & banking.
- In year 12 I studied economics, physics, PE and the 2 highest levels of mathematics available in the SACE; namely, specialist mathematics and mathematical methods. Graduating with an ATAR of 93.8.
-I am currently halfway through my third year in a double degree at the UofA in
mechanical engineering (honours) and finance & banking. I have continued to build on my strong background in maths and economics through this degree, completing 4 mathematics course and several economics course at the distinction level.
-My professional interests currently lie in medical device engineering and I commence a summer internship at Austofix over the summer.

-My approach to math and economics tutoring sessions is simple, effective and ensures the key concepts stick for my students.
-I try my best to instil in students the required knowledge and skills to tackle difficult concepts the first time around, but also to be able to revisit the concepts I have taught with a sense of clarity and confidence they have learnt them thoroughly.
-Having tutored across a range of ages from years 7-12, I feel the most successful approach is to allow for students to drive the initial areas/concepts they are struggling with and then to unpack these together via explanation and then examples for active reinforcement. I like to end my sessions with a short recap of the concepts that have been tackled to ensure concepts are now clear to the student, making it easy to revisit the concepts before your tests/exams.
