About Bella
I have 4 years of academic tutoring experience across English and Global Politics at all school levels, as well as Japanese for primary school students. During high-school, I achieved a diploma in International Baccalaureate (IB) Program, where I studied higher- level Mathematics, Physics and Global Politics, as well as English, Spanish and Sport Science. When tutoring English and Global Politics, I typically take a practical approach to teaching, explaining concepts by outlining real-world applications, encouraging problem-solving, and then building upon my student's theoretical understanding. For students learning Japanese or English for the first time, I follow a more methodological and structured teaching style to facilitate pattern recognition and growth.

My lessons are for students looking to learn Japanese or English languages at the introductory level, or who require tutoring in English and Global Politics subjects at any school level.
I have a methodological teaching style for English and Japanese language introduction, facilitating pattern recognition, mental agility and increased confidence across reading, speaking and writing. A typical lesson plan begins with a reflection on previous lesson content, a smooth transition into a mentally stimulating language task, and consistent testing and encouragement to track progress and improvement.
For English and Global Politics at higher levels, I adopt a practical teaching style, introducing concepts through real-world applications, and then refining concepts to a more theoretical understanding which translates into high-quality essays and research.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my interdisciplinary experience, studying Physics, Mathematics, Sport Science, Global Politics, English and Spanish throughout the IB Programme, and now specialising in fields such as Japanese, Astronomy & Astrophysics, and International Relations. I have tested an array of study techniques and completed assignments of all different formats, so I strive to provide my students with the most high-quality tutoring based on my learning experience. In doing this, I am sure to maintain an even stronger focus on the individual strengths and needs of my students.
