About Mary
As an individual, I provide a personal and deeply understanding approach to the English tutoring process and bring a patient perspective to remote learning. I pride myself on disseminating complex information in a clear and concise manner, making it easy for any student struggling in the English language arts. I encourage creative and critical thinking by focusing on helping students change their perspective on reading and writing into a positive one. I provide services ranging from handwriting help to ESL and essay composition, and from elementary level English all the way through the college Graduate level. Experience-wise, I have a BA in English and graduated at the very top of my class from UMass Boston, where I tutored fellow students (both English-speaking and ESL) the whole way through and helped others succeed in various types of English courses. Let me help you turn your "work" into a love for learning and skill development!
I began tutoring because I deeply enjoy seeing people thrive and watching things "click" for students who would otherwise seem hopeless when it comes to learning the English process.

I begin by asking my students how comfortable they are with their current skills and follow up with questions in order to gauge competence depending on their age, whether English is their first or second language, and whether or not they plan on using their skills to develop their future career goals. I then work with the students on various projects in which they require aid.
Both English-speaking and ESL students ranging from 5 years of age to college-age, and even adults looking to further their skills.
