About Emma
Hi! I'm Emma, an award-winning writer, editor and comedian based in Los Angeles.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in English Literature with a focus on creative writing from the University of California, Berkeley. I can help you develop your English so that you'll be able to speak, write and read your way to communication!
I specialize in ESL, and k-12 students. I also have over 3 years experience tutoring college age students and adults.
I got started teaching when I was in college. I got a job as a writing tutor and loved it!
I hold a Bachelor's degree in English from UC Berkeley and a CBEST substitute teaching certificate from the state of California.

I like to sit and talk with them about their needs and purpose. Then we break our session down into steps.
I've worked with a wide range of students including ESL, special needs, adult learners, K-12 and college level.
Look for someone you get along with and can learn from.
I enjoy seeing the improvement of my students. One 11 year-old student I had struggled with spelling and had trouble focusing. I brought a toy for him to hold while we recited the words together. He focused more and completed the homework effortlessly!
